I just watched a remarkable interview with three of our most important leaders: Amy Goodman interviews Vandana Shiva and Jane Goodall. Most hopeful discussion I’ve seen in a long time.
I’m happy to announce that the Cows With Guns book is back in print. Originally published by Penguin in 1998, the Cows With Guns book has now been re-released by Kearney Street Books of Bellingham, Washington. Needless to say I’m thrilled to have the book back out in the world, and of course, it’s available for the holidays. http://www.

Filming “Label GMO Disco”
I spent the month of September, 2013 filming “Label GMO Disco” (a parody of the Village People’s “YMCA”) to be used as part of an education campaign to help pass Washington State Initiative 522. Initiative 522 promotes our right to know by requiring the labeling of GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in foods.

Label GMO Disco Lyrics
(Sung to the tune of YMCA by The Village People)
What could possibly go wrong
We mix fruit trees
With the genes of a frog
We’ve got scientists
Who are smarter than God
We can make things better
In the tomato
A little human
In the rice that we sow
Really make a pig grow
And we’ll make tons of money
Label GMO, we’ve got a right to know it
We ain’t in the mood
To have you mess with our food
Keep your hands off our peas and carrots
We patent food seed
So you have to pay
It blows freely
To the next farmer’s hay
Then we can sue him
The very next day
Every day’s a payday
That’s right folks, this week I’ll be releasing my first disco music video! “Label GMO Disco,” a comedy parody of the Village People’s “YMCA,” will be released in hopes of inspiring voters to vote Yes on Initiative 522 in Washington State, which would require labeling of GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in foods. I’m looking for volunteers to help spread the video around on the Internet, and also accepting donations to help cover costs. More info.
