Dana performs 12:30-1:15pm on Saturday, August 30 on the North Stage.
The festival begins Friday evening with a free concert featuring local young musicians. Saturday and Sunday will be filled with free acoustic music (evening events will be by admission.) Relax in your lawn chair or on a blanket as you enjoy performances on several outdoor stages, or come inside to the air-conditioned Community Center to watch dance performances, participate in dance lessons, or take in a free music workshop. They will also have an open mike stage. Several hours each day will be devoted to music and storytelling for kids.
They expect to have over one hundred acts offering traditional and contemporary folk, blues, bluegrass, ballet, gospel, Cajun, Celtic, Caribbean, classical, jazz, western and country, Middle Eastern, folklorico, old-time music and dance, and more. A songwriting contest and a participatory band scramble will showcase special talents and offer prizes for the adventurous.
