Home of Lis and Mark Marshall
Lummi Island, WA
Dana is performing on Lummi Island on Wednesday, July 18 at 7:30 pm at Lis and Mark Marshall´s home. Dana is an eco-activist that is helping to spread the word about the proposed coal port terminal planned for Cherry Point.
Admission is $10 and proceeds will help Dana orate the environmental and health issues associated with this proposed port and train from here to Montana, where the coal is mined. The coal will be traveling 1,000 miles in 150-car trains coming through Whatcom County nine times a day- in each direction. The 1,000 foot marine vessels that transport the coal daily to China will snake through the San Juan Islands, passing Lummi Island using the usual tanker route. And there´s so much more.
“No Coal Trains” signs will be available to purchase as well. Light refreshments will be provided. Please come enjoy a fun-filled summer evening with Dana Lyons.
Dana´s concert will be a blend of comedy, beautiful ballads and stories good for the whole family. Kids under 10 are free.
Space is limited, please RSVP to Colleen Berg at 360-758-7048.
